About

I created SiCo4aCure when I was 12 to inspire students and show them how easy and important it is to support cancer research.

I’m now a 16-year-old junior in high school. I play ice-hockey, I love Xbox Forza, and I read graphic novels. In June of 2020, when I was 11, in the thick of covid, my mom was diagnosed with breast cancer. Helping her battle this disease, and thankfully recover from it, opened my eyes to how common it is and how many people die from it each year. Many people in my family, and my friends’ families, have had cancer. As students with little to no income, it’s hard to come up with ways to help our loved ones and make a difference, so I created this blog to help influence means in which students like me can feel more active in fighting this horrible disease.
